1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I need someone to gove me a chance

So now it's your background ??

Folks are trying to give you some assistance.

Being up front about your situation would help them !!!!!!!!!!

There are companies all around your area.

Some of them will hire you, you may need to seek Them out.......

In the book I have, under FMCSA 391.43 it clearly states:

Diabetes. If insulin is necessary to control a diabetic driver's condition, the driver is not qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce. If mild diabetes is present and it is controlled by use of an oral hypoglycemic drug and/or diet and exercise, it should not be considered disqualifying. However, the driver must remain under adequate medical supervision.

Now heres my question to the OP:

Is there anyway you can take pills for your diabetic needs???

I am on pills and insulin. no matter what i do i dont think can get off insulin. The reason I am a type 2 diabetic now is, one of the pills i take for my kidney and pancreas transplant made me insulin resistant. It just seeems strange that i get a pancreas transplant so I am no longer a diabetic and then 4 yrs. after the transplant I am a type 2 diabetic. I lost over 50 lbs trying to get off insulin and still nothing. I weigh 215 now and I am 6'6'' any more weight lose and I would really look sick. So right now I just try to exercise more and maybe one day I can hopefully get offf insulin. Hey I am aloud to dream right LOL
