    BHW's Comments: Oh, give me a break. This is just a movement by shippers to get more on a truck for the same price. :biggrin_25510: Again, its all about responsibility, and the shippers want to pass all the responsibility off on the trucker.

    They better not raise the weight limit, without making sure the trucks can handle it. As is, carriers, such as Knight, have their trucks so under powered, we can barely get up a hill with a 30,000lb load. If they raise the weight limit, they need to include a gearing and horsepower provision. The first time a Knight tries to pull 50,000lbs of freight up a hill, will be the first time you see a trucks transmission spread over a 1/4 mile leading to a black husk on the road.
