how do i get inverter noise out of my recieve

    The simple way to check how it is getting into your radio is to disconnect the antenna cable while the radio and inverter is on. If it goes away, then you know the inverter is putting out RF interference. If you still have it with the antenna disconnected, then the radio is getting it by way of the electrical system.

    I can often "hear" trucks with inverters on as I pass them. I always shut mine off before I go down the road.

    just add a ground wire and it will cure the problem I ran a small wire from my radio to the mounting bracket and all interference went away

    This has been covered in a couple of threads before. If it is one of the cheap inverters you buy out of the truck stops you are not going to get the noise out. It is a design flaw of the modified sign wave inverter. The only way to have a quite inveerter is to buy a true sign wave inverter that is made for electronics or for marine aplications.
