I've found that polarized sunglasses aren't the best for driving (in the winter) so I just wear plain jane ones that block UV. I went to school for Laser/Electro-optics Tech so I learned quite a bit bout polarized lenses. If you don't know if they are or not, hold them off your face and look at a car/building window. There won't be a glare, and you can see right in, then turn them sideways while still looking through them and you will see the glare once they get to 45-90 degrees depending on how they are polarized! I don't like them because if it has been snowing or lightly raining a bit in the winter it is hard to tell if the pavement is wet/slick. In the summer I will wear them though.
Is the doctor right about sunglasses?
