I am interested in attending this local cdl/truck school does anybody out there know any thing about this school?will it be good enough for me to get on with a good company after i graduate?is it better to be trained by a company with its own training program if they will accept you?schneider for instance if they accpt you.i have read that you are locked into a contract with them.is it worth the sacrifice of abiding with their contract agreement for the training and their professional standing in the trucking industry?if i could go through their program would it be worth signing a contract with them that i would be locked into for the experience ?and to have them as my first truck employer being they have a good reputation for a big company from what i have read about them?
I would appreciate you guys input.
Thanks

As long as the school is accredited and recognized by PTDI (Professional Truck Drivers Institute) companies will accept that school. Going contract with a company is good if you do not have money for school and you don't mind working for that company for a certain amount of time. If they charge a lot of money for the school see if going contract or to another school is cheaper for you. There is nothing wrong with going contract, the only issue is you are dedicating yourself to work for them. If you decide you want to run flatbeds with TMC or run tankers with miller transportation you are stuck until your set amount of time with them is over.

I wouldn't stress too much about choosing a school. Most of them are pretty much the same. Your truck driving schools are just there to get you your license. Your real training is going to come when you get hired on with a company and go with your trainer. You will most likely learn more in one day with your trainer than your 3 weeks of school. Good luck to you.
