FYI - you will have to take a written test as well as a road test when you get done with the required 240hrs (driving) with a mentor. Neither of the tests are anything to worry about as long as you learn everything you are supposed to while out with your mentor.

I wish you the best of luck, and safe travels!

Im with my mentor now. Their was a shortage of non smoking mentors so i went home for a couple days. I called the driver manager asking if i can get put with anyone, smoking or not. She returned my call and said come in tommorrow. And here i am in kansas city at a truck stop with my non smoking mentor. He teaches really good. My first day I was so rusty. There was no way I would have passed a roadtest. But after my 3 day everything came back, my shifting and backing are pretty good. by the end of the 6 weeks i should be a pro. Swift is good to start out with and so is Werner. But CR England is the worst out of all of them. They make you do 6 weeks with a trainer then 8 weeks with a lease operator. what sense does that make

Really ? Look we always think the grass in greener on the other side, but fail to realize that we have to mow that lawn too.
