Do we have post police on hear? that's funny.. Sorry driver.. I'm use to shifting gears not hitting keys...
And yes driver as a fact I have friends in dispatch and I'm also a driver and I can say that we figure with the complaints from drivers it is about 98%...Just sit in the drivers lounge for a day. Not all complaints are about JBS, but is is things like the new insurance, it's the worst, went to the doctor for a real bad flu in Grand Island, NE and I had to pay out of pocket 45% for a prescription and about the same for the doctor but out of pocket cash for a cold was $104.00, that is high for just trying to get some antibiotics..

Have learned, that in real life, its not just drivers that #####. Seems to be commen no matter where you go or what your doing. Think its turned into a "way of life" nowadays. Oh well, like everything else, we'll deal with it and move on.
Am very glad that I am at the house and able to get away from it all for awhile. Have found my BS tolerance to be very low this time out and am afraid my mouth has run away a bit. Not just on this board but with the yahoos I work for. Doubt being sick with this frigging cold helped much. Won't get fired cause this company needs drivers but may get another write up when I come back out. Oh well. -
Panhande don't you run for transam? Their gettin the t700's in I seen one on the road yesterday

I was not trying to be the "post police". I just think that if you are going to use someone else's words, it is only right to acknowledge them, and to say you are using their words.
When I was OTR the only time I talked to dispatch was to determine what my next job was going to be, and if I had a problem. If you have QC, you are getting good loads, and are happy, do you usually call dispatch? Do you call just to check in and tell the dispatcher how happy you are? Doesn't it stand to reason that dispatch would primarily hear from drivers who have a problem, or those who always think that they have a problem? Unfortunately many dispatchers spend as much time being shrink and babysitter to the minority of their drivers, as they do arranging work for the rest of their drivers. I don't know you or your friend. That may not be your situation, or his. However, it has been something that I have observed.
Aren't the people in a drivers lounge all day usually unhappy? If they are productive, and are stuck in the lounge they will be unhappy. If they are not productive, and are happy to spend the day in the lounge then they will be unhappy with the rest of their lives.
As for your concerns about the insurance changes, that would certainly seem legitimate. I know a great many companies are having to change their insurance providers and/or coverage levels. I have my own feelins on that, but this is not a political thread so I will leave those comments outside. You are certainly correct to consider whether that particular policy change should effect your decision to work for this particular employer. Or you may want to consider opting out of the group health plan. Maybe you personal situation would allow you to get better coverage, or a better price on your own, as an individual.
Finally, if you Doctor gave you antibiotics for a cold, the insurance company is not the only one doing you wrong. -
I'm in Ina Illinois at Loves having lunch. Throw the medical benefits out the window. They don't mean diddly squat to me! I worked for the county years ago and they loved to brag about how great our coverage was but we always had a copayment and I'm not into making the medical field any richer than they already are. I'm not a sickly type person and don't believe in health insurance.....

Been out for 1 1/2 weeks, 5 loads, been to Dallas, back to Denver, drop trailer picked up a load to Kentucky, up to Chicago,(thats the wrong place to drive durning rush hour) 2 drops there then to Wis for two more. Up at the Green Bay yard getting new steers on ( Big pot hole in TX ). My experience so far is good, I did not start this with any expectations so I would not be set up for any potential problems. I like the company so far. With all the trucks, all the drivers, a company can not meet everyone needs, just cant be done. One size does not fit all.
Panhandle flash, nanakatmck and sydsdriver Thank this. -
