I can't wait to hear from Mrangel as well. Sure interested to hear how things are going? I thought he'd have a new laptop by now but the miles must have dropped off a little. Where's truckinshadow also?? Those new T700's are sure sharp! Ricky don't lose that #.

Yes I agree driver about the insurance, I went and switched to my wife's it is cheaper and better than what JBS is currently offering.
I don't know why JBS seems to run all drivers like Fallenangel, good when they first start and then it slows down after about a month, then you seem to get one or two weeks with good mileage a month, so you spend about 50% sitting waiting to get loaded. Have not figured out why they do that. Maybe they try to spread the good loads. they have few good ones -
It's the nature of the business they are in.
They need to have trucks available NOW.
That means, you do some waiting around !!!! -
No it's not!! It's called poor management.. Plain and simple! and too many people accept it........rocknroll81 Thanks this.

Define waiting, as how long is to long, at there plants? or back haul? I am a former Packerland Transport driver that left in '98 and over all, i did not have to wait that much at our plant in Green Bay or the other plants they had and that includes the plant in Tolleson AZ. as that is a former Packerland plant. When Packerland bought that plant, it was called Sunland Beef.I have been there alot. As a matter of fact, for how much that we drove and did not have to wait, a little down time was a good thing. We did not have to wait getting back hauls either. You can read my posts on the old JBS thread if you like.

You are correct 100% with what you are saying. With my recent post to 123456 again i am a former Packerland Transport driver that left in'98 and i never had to wait that much at all, and that is including all loads from all there plants and all backhauls. Packerland had it down as far as running a smooth operation, had some good people working there. When i ran to the L.A. area with swinging or box beef, when empty i would go to the central valley and p/u produce from the coolers and i'll tell ya, I never sat there, as soon as i told them i was with Packerland they would back me into a dock. As a matter of fact, i went to a cooler and they told me to park it and would call on the cb, i thought great i can take a cat nap, wrong, about 10-15 minutes they called me to back it in,so much for that. And one more, i was m/t in the L.A. area at the same time as was a o/o for Packerland and only 1 load for the two of us. They told me to wait 2 hours and call back which i did and my dispatcher said he was sorry for the wait because the o/o's do not get paid for deadheads because of being on percentage, and me being a company driver,i got paid for all miles and that was all off the odometer, so they gave the load in L.A. to the o/o and they deadheaded me to there plant in Tolleson AZ. which is now owned by JBS, because they had loads to cover. No mater where i went in this country it was the same. After i left them, it only got better, they finally went to qualcom and when the drivers left in the beginning of the week from Green Bay, they had there next 2-3 loads preplanned for the week. And that is how it's done. Thats why i agree with you, it's all in the planning.rickway65 and Panhandle flash Thank this.

What I've never understood, is why meat plants have 2, 3, or even 4 day windows.
