Exactly right! Thank you!! My Dad drove for Monfort and believe me they did not have him sitting much if any. Alot of these people these days are copouts. I don't believe in sugarcoating anything and I also hate the term: "That's Trucking" that's a copout as well and I'll never buy into that analogy!!!

Ya know? thats a good question. I think it's because of how production runs, from when the cows come into the kill floor, some times the plant had to wait for the cow trucks to get in, to final production and then wrap, box into customer needs. I know that Packerland had a customer in ohio that was a vendor for Mcdonalds and made there patties. This was meat was sold at a high price because it had a guarentee of no e.coli and the lab had to do alot of testing and that took awhile. Besides, i guess aged beef is suppose to taste good. biggrin 25525

Wow Monfort, that brings back some memories. I was hauling beer into Colorado back in the late 80's and we had to by fuel in Julesburg Co.at the Flying J before we went across the P.O.E. in Fort Morgan and in the Flying J they had a add up on the wall looking for drivers and i think o/o's. I like to have fun with the newbies and get on the cb and tell everybody that there is a bear in the Monfort lane. I realize that they don't have a clue on what i am talking about, but i like hearing some of the responses. On the other hand it makes me feel like aged beef out here. biggrin 2559rickway65 Thanks this.

Since the tenth of last month Fallinangel has had 10 loads, 1000 miles or better. He did 3710 miles last week. When he delivers the next two loads to alabama and mississippi he will have 3700 miles again. He says if you turn down loads or are late they will sit you. Its all about communication. Had him on the phone, that is what he wanted you to know. Next weekend he will be in.

Fallinangel is in route to Alabama from Iowa. Roads were bad when he left from there. The roads iced over during the night and it started snowing an hour before he left. Overpasses were real slick. Keeping you updated on his journey with JBS. Stay safe out there guys and gals. An Angel is watching over you.

Lunch time here in Walcott Iowa. 13397 JBS running every bit of 67-68 mph last 30 miles. Thought they were governed at 65. On my way in to get one of the best sandwiches on the road at Blimpie. This place always does a great job here at Iowa 80. JBS running bobtail westbound earlier near Newton Iowa.

I should have answered this sooner. I still know a guy in safety and called him about half a year ago. I was out of work with surgery at the time, and he said to come aboard when healed. He told me that the trucks out of Green Bay run the same as Greeley and home time is the same. I have one minor surgery to go at the end of march and then i'll be good to go the 2nd. week of april.
