Rocky 64....... looks fairly healthy from his recent photo.

I wouldn't go trying fad diets especially while on the road.
Stick with the four food groups. Eat from all of them. I find that on the road I can get the nutrients I need easily enough and I know that if Iam at shipper/reciever that I can resist that vending machine with a sweet piece of fruit from the fridge in the truck.

As for BMI and the whole ecto, meso, endomorph guidlines. They're just that, guidelines. Every person is unique. People are saying your too thin for your height. Nonsense. For example, bone density has a surprisingly large impact on weight. If your dieting and not doing any high impact exercises, your bone density will be low and your weight will reflect that. Professional cyclists traditionally have low bone density, simply because cycling is not a load bearing activity on the joints.
Runners(not marathon runners though, they go too hard too often)have higher bone density than cyclists, but cyclist generally have more muscle mass.

If yo uhave anypsychological issues with eating,go see your doctor they may help or they may be able to direct you to a nurse practitioner that can ##### if you have any eating disorders. I think in trucking they are (dissorders) far more common than people want to believe. I feel many issues regarding food when it come to drivers are closely linked to anxiety. There are many "comfort" eaters in trucks.

Otherwise,Don't sweat it......you look ok........keep up the good work.

I just completed an experiment. It's Wed morning right now. I have not been overeating or making bad choices... Until Sunday night.

Sunday for dinner, I had a 12" Subway extra meat and cheese, with all the veggies on whole wheat, and a bag of SunChips. This was my biggest meal in 8 days.

Well, I got up Monday morning to major cravings, so I over ate at breakfast. Bag of chips, kitkat and soda for lunch, with Wendy's for dessert, and another 12" Subway for dinner.

Tues morning, two Breakfast Burritos at Hardee's, MrGoodbar, Jordans BBQ for lunch(big dinner portion) and then Tonys Pizza for afternoon snack, then Waffle House for dinner at 23:30, bed at midnight.

If I FILL my belly just ONE meal, it is days before I can control those cravings. I just woke up and I'm starving. I'm gonna have to starve today and likely tomorrow just to get me cravings in check, and then NEVER overeat at one sitting. It causes my cravings to kick in for days.

Your choices for eating are a problem, more than anything else. Almost everything you listed off is complete crap.

The way of eating I refer to, and Dr.Oz had vetted, doesn't say to not eat fruits. Just to eat them, along with anything else, 1 day a week. As for fats, I never said to not eat them.

EXACTLY! but it all started because I over ate one subway sub. That made my cravings kick in. If I dont fill my belly, my craving never show up. But, over eat just once and it takes days to beat it.

I just learned this about myself... now self control is more important than ever.

The diet that Dr OZ promotes is a diet full of fruits, veggys, lean meets, fish,
herbs, light starch, fiber, dairy, vitimans. this covers all the food groups and makes for healthy eating. Just do not eat like it is your last meal. 5-6
small meals a day is easy to do even driving truck. do not forget to get out of the truck and get in a good walk or jump rope or anything you can
do to get your burn on. keep off the salt and fast foods.

Dr. Oz likes some of the things in the book The 4 Hour Body. The thing he speaks about, in section 3, regarding binging once a week, is directly from the slow carb diet in the book.

Before you pass judgement, read the freakin book, and try the freakin diet. You can't really comment on something without trying it first, IMO.

My opinion, is that you continuously eat starchy and sugary foods, and your body gets addicted to eating them. You feed yourself a lot of starch or sugars, and your body wants more, so you lose control and binge. If you filled up on meats, veggies, and legumes, you wouldn't have this issue.

However, most people on here think that I don't know jack, so, all I can say is, good luck with your starvation diet.

First of all no one is calling you out on anything.
I have diabetes, high blood pressure, and a heart issue. I have been on Dr OZ`S diet for a year now I have all his books and use them. As far as the
4 hour body and anyother diet book yes he does agree with sone of the things in them but not all of it. that is a fact. It is the same as with anything in this world. I for one like liver but alot of people can`t stand it.
I also think if you do not eat meat you are missing out on a good thing but that just me. you my have your own ideas about that and that`s OK.

Just a note: my diabetes A1C is now at 6.7 and BP is 127/67 heart is real good stress test done a 10.0 DOT wants 6.0 so I maxed that kicked its butt.:yes2557:
