Ok I have been real scared to say any thing about this. I lost my job Driving a School Bus in 07 after being diagnosed and receiving my cpap machine. Ok I know that SWIFT will install an inverter if you need a machine. But my problem is I can not remember the name of the Doctor or the name of the place I had my original study done at. So my question is. If I have my memory card on my machine read and a note from my doctor will that be enough for SWIFT? Or am I going to have to have another sleep study done? If so I am SOL I no longer have insurance to do that.![]()

You don't have a copy of your original sleep study?
I haven't had to deal with that personally. I suppose they would put an inverter in for CPAP users...at least, that's what I heard. They will probably want to verify your OSA so they know you're not just some bum trying to get an inverter. Not that it would ever happen, right?basser Thanks this. -
Nope I do not have a copy of it.They never gave me one. And all of my paperwork is in storage and I have been going up there and looking through it all and can not find anything with the Doctors name or the clinic I went to.

Why not go to the doctor and get a copy?

That's a bummer. Not everybody has a memory like mine. I still remember the name of the clinic and doctor who did my RK fifteen years ago. He was Dr. Charles Fritch in Bakersfield, CA. Scared the crap out of me, too. He's got hands the size of a gorilla's and did microscopic surgery on my eyes. I still, to this day, do not need glasses...and mine were Coke-bottle-bottoms before.

Why not contact your insurance company and find out from there where you went? Someone from there should be able to give you the name of the place you had your sleep study done and also the Dr. name that ordered it.
