that could have been done to see what you were going to do...set them, or leave them alone, apparently, you left them alone..??

ok, STOP RIGHT HERE.....seatbelts ARE REQUIRED..

what did i just say....?? seatbelts ARE REQUIRED, i don't care if you ain't driven in 20 years, you KNEW the laws regarding seatbelts, after all YOU HAVE A CDL....why should you have been "cut some slack"...???

the guy road testing you, WAS DOING HIS JOB, YOU DID FLUNK...he didn't forget to set the parking brake, YOU DID.......

what pray tell is wrong with that...?? YOU HAD A CURRENT DOT CARD...!!! I HAVE HAD JOBS, WHERE THEY ACCEPTED MY CURRENT CARD....there is NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT...!! what they "could do" is NOT ACCEPT your current card, and send you out for a DOT physical, but they accepted your current one...you were golden..!!

you are WRONG HERE TOO.....many times I HAVE supplied my own DMV record...check the freaking help wanted ads...many say, "must have copy of RECENT DMV at application time"...

again, they DO NOT have to do this...once you fill out the applications, it states right there, "may we contact this employer"....???

many times ON THE BACK of the application IS THE FORM you signed, it'll cover a DAC, Credit Report, whatever else....

like at the very end, where it says, "I believe all information given by me is true and correct"...didn't you sign that..??? don't you remember..?? 391.21 Application for employment......go and read it....

and YOU WON'T......you screwed up, not them....

i think its time you went back to school

that's right, if we WANT A JOB, WE DO IT RIGHT....apparently, you want to stay home and collect unemployment

oh and by the way, YOU ARE WRONG.......

good luck to you, but i can see you won't be driving anytime too soon, which is good, as you do not know the first thing to do, or how to do it, please stay off my roads...

Sounds like a mistake i would have made.

I am one who RARELY wears a seatbelt.

There are only TWO types of wrecks in a "big truck".
The kind where a seatbelt wouldn't matter, and the type where a seatbelt wouldn't matter.

And YES, I am NOT a cop.
I am a Paramedic... and unlike LEO... I HAVE "unbuckled dead bodies" cause it was actually my job.

But to get off that soapbox....
You have seen the way things are done now FIRST HAND.
You gotta dot "I's" and cross "T's" when you deal with these non-driver types at the yard.
They have no clue, or have forgotten all they did know.

Be sure you remember to do it ALL next time.

Sounds like you weren't supposed to work there anyway.
Sometimes higher powers intervene for us and help save us from bad situations.

So what's the big deal, the company didn't care about the rules, you didn't care about the rules. You all parted way after the road test, who cares at what point they failed you?

ah yes....but it was HIS not caring about the rules and his lack of knowledge of what he spoke to the office person, that cost him a possible job...everyone else there, is still working....

I'm cool with that, I just don't get why he(the op) cares. Clearly he wouldn't have liked working there, the orientation process is like an extended interview and you aren't typically offered employment until it's completed. A reason for not getting hired isn't usually even required. Be on your best behavior and follow all the rules, regardless of what the company does.

A good rule of thumb; if the engine's running, the seat belts on.

    too many negative replies...??

doode, if you think that you were going to hear only what YOU WANTED TO HEAR, then you came to the wrong place...YOU AND ONLY YOU started a thread on how YOU SCREWED UP at an employment road test, and failed.....miserably, and YOU AND ONLY YOU, tried to pass off YOUR SHORT COMINGS to someone else....

this is so typical of someone NOT ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS....

oh yeah, since i quoted your original posting...?? others can see why you ARE SO WRONG ON ALL ACCOUNTS.....

good luck to you, i hope the unemployment checks do not run out too soon for ya......
