please remove the good buddy if you want anybody to reply.
Good buddy means "A person that prefers the same sex for company in the sack" -
A cobra 29 is hard to beat, works great right out of the box, and can be 'upgraded' later if you so choose. I have a uniden pc78, and it works great.
Mgas is right, 'good buddy' is slang for a homosexual male. -
Haven't used a CB in awhile. The wife and I are thinking bout getting one soon. Last time I had one, it had a mouse in it running around a wheel creating the electrical current necessary to run the unit. The mouse got a job with a rival company and left me hanging.
But seriously though, do they have any with an internal antenna nowadays, that are any good? Or do I still need that "Whip"? -
you could get a little handheld cb if you do not want a whip ant.
-
Yeah, you can go with a little handheld, but you will get much better range with a 'regular' CB. Just get a magnet mount antenna (wilson sells one) so you don't have to worry about drilling holes, etc.
And the 12' steel whips are optional, if you can find one!
PS- your mouse's grandkids say 'Hi' and the hamsters under my truck's hood send their hello too.
Sorry, reread your post and thought you were talking about a CB in your 4wheeler, in your big truck, there are a ton of good antennas out there, and NO, you don't have to have a huge steel whip. -
A good radio to start with is a Cobra 29 LTD Classic.Sounds great out of the box,and with minor mods, can reach out and touch somebody.I upgraded to a Conex 4300HP.But it put a dent in the pocket book.:smt025

I assume the name "soju" refers to the Korean alcohol? Too bad I can't get a liter for $3 like I used to when I was over there!
-
Great, thank you all for the advice. Say hi to the grand kids for me!:smt079

I would, but they ran off with the baby bunnies I discovered in my yard yesterday- I discovered em with my mower, but thankfully there was no mass bunny-cide like last summer.
