Ok. For example, Charlie Sheen's character wouldn't be the same if another actor took it on. But new character(s) have been suggested, such as an uncle, cousin or long lost half brother. Rob Lowe, John Stamos, Jason Alexander or even Charlie's real brother Emilio Estevez has been mentioned. Who would be the best choice to step in?

i would just like a hidden video of charlies actual life
i used to really admire him as an actor and his outlook on life---but lately that is even too much for me--well except for the goddesses---he still has my vote for that

The show was built around Charlie and his real life behavior and antics. Yes, CBS and Warner Brothers will try to trot out someone else just like Charlie himself subbed for Michael J. Fox on "Spin City". However, I think they should hang up this show and move on to something else.

If the Hollywood suits and Charlie can put their respective egos back in the drawer, fine -- and have Charlie come back to the show.

If they can't, then the [new and improved] show (if it goes on) will be a waste of the viewers time and efforts.

Have to say I quit watching "Spin City" when Michael J. left. Just didn't have the same feel to it with Charlie Sheen. Same probably will go for "Two and a Half Men", just won't be the same show without him.

In 1984 on the TV show, "Dallas", Barbara Bel Geddes played Miss Ellie. She wanted to leave due to ill health caused by a heart condition.

Donna Reed was brought in with the SAME CHARACTER NAME and NO EXPLANATION OF THE APPEARANCE CHANGE.

A year later, Barbara was feeling better and wanted the role of Miss Ellie back, so, Donna Reed was canned. Also, when Barbara came back with the name character name there was also no explanation of the change in appearance from Donna to Barbara.

You may say ... "OKAY -- what's your point" ?

Well, someone other than Charlie Sheen can come in and take over the role of Charlie Harper and have the show go on without any explanation to the audience or the cast members or the story line.

It's a (rear end) backwards way doing things, in my opinion but it can be done by the Hollywood suits.

How can they get away with that?

What's going to come and bite the Hollywood suits in the butt? The ratings -- when viewers get tired off all this and tune out.

Why not put Berta in a big roll? She's funny all hell. Have her move in.

Have Berta take over Charlie Sheen's character? Maybe ! I am wondering if it would be better to have her do her own spin off.

The Jeffersons was a spin off from All in the Family.
