like the title says, i'm looking for a smaller company. i drove for crete/shaffer for a year and they are good people but the list for regional work is REAL long. i've talked with many drivers when i was on the road and the consensus was it is better to work for a smaller company (50 trucks or so). there are a few company's hiring in the st george area. jim palmer, ardrus, and navajo. but they are larger and i can't find any good info on them.
a little about me. i went to driving school in buffalo ny (ntts), graduated top of my class, passed the road on the first try (not easy in ny), and went right to work for shaffer. i did OTR for them for 1 year, things got slow so i took some time off. they sent me several letters asking me to come back, but only for OTR, no regional spots open. i have a clean DAC report (no tickets, no accidents, never failed a drug test, and shaffer gave me good marks).
i'm just asking for a little info or any ideas you may have. thanks in advance for your help.
