    and the taxpayers are paying for them!

    Now do you really think when they want to mandate them for US trucks they will foot the bill? Isn't that unfair competition by subsidizing a foreign competitor?

    Just another example of a Fed Dept out of control. If the FMCSA wants EOBR's on Mexican trucks than the Mexican trucking companies that wish to operate here should pay for them. Why should the American taxpayer foot the bill for a foreign company to operate here? Ridiculous!!

    ATTENTION
    RESIDENTS OF:
    What Is Now
    ARIZONA
    CALIFORNIA
    TEXAS
    AND
    NEW MEXICO
    HEREBY BE ADVISED
    As of 4/01/2011
    The States listed above will cease to exist.
    The areas now occupied by the listed states will thereafter be identified by the names as follows:
    Arizona = Mexizona
    California = Mexifornia
    Texas = Mexas
    New Mexico = Mexico.

    Further More;
    All residents within the borders of the above mentioned areas will be required to speak, read and write fluent Spanish within a time-frame set by the governments of both countries, Mexico and the United States, minus four.
    Any person or persons unable to demonstrate an ability to converse and/or read and write in the Spanish language will face immediate deportation to an undisclosed area within the State of what is now known as New Jersey.
    (Subject to change in the near future.)

    Once relocated, any attempts to leave the relocation compound will be met with physical force -- no exceptions.
    The duration of residency at the relocation compound will be dependent on one's ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of, and ability to converse in, the Spanish language.
    The maximum allowable time to acquire the necessary knowledge has been set at
    One Year (365 Days)
    Failure to meet the requirements listed above will be considered an act of treason.
    There will be no speedy trial, or any trial at all. An appointed judge will determine guilt and render an immediate verdict. All guilty persons will then be transferred to a suitable facility located in or around Mexico City, and remain there until such time as they can demonstrate an ability to speak, read and write in the Spanish language.
    The remaining 46 states will not be affected at this time. However, arrangements are now being made to include several more states starting with those located on the left coast and continue in an easterly direction -- ending at the Atlantic Ocean.

    Those interested in residing in the newest United State, to be known as Cubaco, are required to make reservations at their earliest possible convenience. Space is limited. There will be restrictions, to include:
    No Pets
    No Alcoholic beverages
    No Illegal Drugs
    and
    No Sexual Activities after 10 (pm)
    or
    Before 7 (am)

    Your cooperation in this matter is highly recommended to avoid unpleasantries.
    Thanking you in advance for your cooperation.

    So can you see what they are setting up with this???? After they put them on all of the Mexican trucks our good buddies and always looking for our best interest friends at the ATA are going to get together with public citizen and all of the other lobby groups and tell us how much better the safety numbers of the Mexican carriers are over here since they began running the EOBR's and its not fair for them to have them if we dont have them. This will help to make the push for getting them on everyone else. Hide and watch. All of this crap is being done with carefull thought with reason behind it and none of it will be for the benefit of us.

    I wrote to my congressman and senator today explaining to them that I don't want unsafe drivers operating unsafe equipment on American roads.
    I urge everyone else that feels the same to contact your elected officials and let your voice be heard. I've never contacted an elected official before but I couldn't not do so on this issue.
