Ouch!! I have a head off right now and wouldn't mind a little insite on those 60s. Had a man tell me today that I could put a waste gate turbo on and pick up some low end boost, which is what you need to get fuel. Putor won't put the fuel to it till it senses boost, which sure acts like mine does. I have an ole DDEC II so not many things around for me. Had putor flashed to a 425 to 1800rpm/400to 2100rpm. Turbo picks up better, but not much power till 1500 up. Going to add a boost gage and pyro so I can tell what is going on. Have the head at the machine shop now and going to check the liner depth right now. Hope it's good cause I'm not too froggy on a complete in frame at this time. But we do what we have to. Interested if drilling the return will help the DDEC II. Anyone know?

I have drilled DDIII-and-DDIV engines and seen a 25-35hp increase on the dyno going from .080 to .094 orfice. this was a factory fix for low hp complaints so i'm told, if you go any bigger you lose your gains when your fuel temp rises. If you get an ecm tuned your better to leave the .080 as far as turbo's the bw replacemant i think works the best on a road truck. The BW has made 635HP to the ground on 12.7's with great response and mpg.

The Borg Warner was the one he had, one was a waste gate, one was without. Mine is without and it spools very slow, not till almost 1500 before you can hear it. Without a boost and pyro guage I have no idea what is going on so those are going on along with the head. Just checked cyl height and they are in spec with cross hatch still in the walls. I don't mind putting a turbo on it with some injectors if that is what it needs to come alive, cause it sure is a pig right now. Mine is a dump so low end is what I need, something to get it going off road with a load. Lots of starts and stops, very little running down the big roads.

do you know wht inj's you have and which bw do you have
-
Not sure about the turbo, will need to look at it closer. It's not rubbing the fins but haven't looked at the exhaust side. Is the injector number on the solenoids? I have them in the PU outside, I will look now. BRB

Just looked 4940 is the number on the solenoid. Is the it?

Does a DDECII come with a BW or something else? Betting it is what ever came on it.
