My hubby is OTR, just headed back out today after 8 months shoulder injury recovery. It can work, but it is hard at times.

Back to the outfit he was with before. The boss wanted him back, gave him a raise from 25% to 29%, and told him to get the truck inspected every two months, and not at the home shop either. Met all of his concerns before he even had to ask. The dispatcher that was there is now gone too.

Wargames and Panhandle flash Thank this.

You have been around a lot in a few period of time. That doesn't look very good for them. You many end up having a hard time finding a good company that will accept you... It might work, or you might get tired of your next company too and try to go to another co. Not sure, you may be an impatient type of person or you may know exactly what you want and are not afraid of taking risks. I think it always takes time, 6 months or so for one to get a good idea about what to expect in a company and learn how to work with their system. Maybe you are quick to figure that out or just don't have patience to find out. If you keep doing a good job, things can get much better after a year in a company. The beginning is almost always difficult. All the best with your decision :biggrin_25519:

    LMMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tell them right from the beginning...........look..............this is what I want and expect............if not ............after 6 months I will leave.............needless to say all the gigs I took are 6 months apart..............sooner or later I may get lucky and find one that actually does, untill than...........well..........I'll just have to be a so called job hopper, they lie.........we fill the need.......someday drivers might get it and make it like it should be.............the power together can stop this country in it's tracks, and they keep the mix for just that reason

when I hired I would ask why the guys had a vast past out of curiosity , and alot of them said they were not paid or the job wasn't what the employer offered or said it was going to be . , I would give guys a chance if they had a good driving record . but the personal interveiw is what I looked at , I would not let people leave when they dropped off a app ( I would often stop what I was doing and ask them if they had a few minutes, most window shoppers would say no ) I would give a informal interveiw to see weather they are a canidate or not for the job , I had one driver didn't tell me his wife was out in the car waiting while I was talking to him , almost took him for a road test , needless , he was with me for 6 years. but its best to staywith somone for minimum of a year , when I first started I hopped around till I found a company I liked ( I screwed myself out of several good jobs by hopping ) , then they went under and I went On my own .
