I had an accident during a road test for a local company that I had hoped to work for. The Police were called and a report was filed. No tickets were issued. Assuming the company I was road testing for doesn't touch my DAC (they 'said' they wouldn't), would this accident show up on either report?
Since I already have a car accident from June on my MVR, I need to know if this will show as well. If it does, I probably am out of the running for any driving job.
It happened last Wednesday. If it were on either report, when should I check?
Will accident show on MVR or DAC?

If no tickets were issued, then at fault wasn't determined. A cop just writes a report. A judge deciphers it all and makes the decision. The only thing that can be touched is your DAC. I wouldn't trust anything the company says. I would check the DAC in a couple weeks.

I would think if you had a accident on your road test for a company, if the company reports it you may be done for driving a truck...considering also you had one in june in a personal car, that will count towards your cdl..
-
go to hireright and have them send you a free copy of your dac.
-
a ticket written and given at the scene of an accident, or even mailed to you days later, is guilty of any charges...or at fault...
you did not get a ticket, but there is a police report, and they report that to the DMV, especially if the damage was/is over $1,000 (in my state) as an example...
you WILL HAVE a DMV accident you have to deal with, along with anything else that's on your record.....
the ticket, is usually given and from there you were guilty....or at fault... -
If cops were called, it's on your MVR... regardless of fault.

Even if the company doesn't report to DAC it can still be on there. My DAC showed individual company reports and also a generalized summary of my driving history with all non-ticketed accidents included. Like the other poster said it's best to order your DAC.
Though in your case Onthefence, this is a higher power that has been trying to tell you something from the get go and you aren't listening and they are getting mad!Rerun8963 and celticwolf Thank this. -
Well then tell that higher power to get off his arse and help me find a job to pay the rent and this d@&$ loan! $184 per month starting in April!
Not mad at you Chompi, just angry in general. There really are NO jobs, outside of driving, that pay any money at all. -
I hear you man! Like I said before you #### sure don't give up easy! If you owned your business you would easily be a millionaire with your ethics! I am a believer of everything happens for a reason so hold on for the ride!

but.....given a set of circumstance which you have out lined here before us...(or in PM's).....
you will end up NOT trucking and getting paid what the industry pays...
you WILL END UP doing some other type of job, that requires NO DOT physical, DMV reports, DAC reports, 10 year employment background checks, hazmat background checks, TSA background checks,CSA points, or RE-TRAINING if one leaves for as little as 6 months...!!!....etc,etc....
it does NOT TAKE MUCH, as YOU HAVE WITNESSED, to screw up one's future.....into an oblivion that has no return.
