amen to that ? ive seen unbelievable loads like 4.50 per mile only to call and find out that they can take up to 90 days to pay, and thats if they ever pay since its usually a shady unheard of company having these loads

broker has been offering me some nice loads from sturtevant to morris il its 133 miles 21,000 lbs she pays $425 so theyre not that bad and in morris its that costco dc theyre pretty quick to take things off the truck so once i deliver that i usually find me something to go back up to wisconsin and load again in sturtevant. With the crazy fuel prices im gonna be doing these loads until i can find something better.

"Return loads"... just a figure of speech. As you know freight from certain areas is always cheap... simple supply and demand.

they're both walmarts. I run alot of walmart and meijer. I like the walmarts because I mainly haul potatoes and some onions, and the walmarts order a flat 800 bags. most the other places want you loaded up with every bag you can fit on but I still get paid the same. 800 bags on cheps and i'm under 78k. even when i'm loading to full I cheat and never haul more then 79500, usually 79k with about 820 bags. i'm lighter then the other trucks they have leased on so why should I haul more for the same money. just wears out equipment faster.

we haul a lot of roadrunner out of cudahy. most people don't like it because you have to drop the trl one night and pick it up the next morning or the second morning. Milwaukee is my home town so I just drop it and go to my moms house and find some trouble to get into. that's all dry if you want to check into it. My guy is looking to lease trucks if you want to get reefers. he's a broker too if you run your own numbers. we are usually around $2mi coming out of ID area

thanks MedicineMan i will into it tomorrow maybe just leave a truck to haul with roadrunner and see how it goes i have no trouble leaving the trailer for day or two i could have driver drop it off and then come to the shop wash truck and do anything that the truck needs. With the reefers i dont think ill be able to get one anytime soon my family took a big hit last year from a shipper and broker scam we got screwed over with like $123k so the wound is still recovering:biggrin_25511: i held a $52K load of knack tooloxes hostage until i found what was going on and knack had already paid the broker but i never received anything, so knack paid me 6500 to release load and i took a truck off the broker but sold the truck for 13500 last year
