A trucker game show... Find a single mile stretch of I90 in South Dakota that doesn't have roadkill in on or near the road...

Bonus round finds the single stretch with the most dead animals.

I rarely get up there but it's a game I like to play after my first trip where I was amazed at the body count.

what does trucking across I-80 got to do with picking antiques..???

and frankly, we have some so-called "reality shows" about truckers, which to me, are NO BETTER than, "the days of our lives".....because "as the world turns", there just isn't anything "bold and beautiful" about "the the edge of night" in a truck stop, as for when we call home, to talk to "all our children", we get discouraged by "ryan's hope" of becoming a doctor, when we all thought, he'd be "movin' on".........

I've been a fan of "podcasting" before there was an iPod or podcasts. What amazes me is that anyone with an internet connection and $30 can listen to virtually anything they want, as much as they want, and they don't. I guess it's like many other things in this industry, it's a very different culture but many people don't recognize it.

If you can access this message forum you can get virtually unlimited and free audio programming to replace the same formula radio and get rid of that IQ evaporating CB radio.

It used to be difficult and expensive to have unlimited audio in the truck, now it is cheap and easy. Did I mention no monthly fees?

Apple iTunes is free, and probably the easiest integrated program. I use a $30 Sansa Clip player and it's the size of a matchbox and holds several weeks worth of full-time audio that plays on my schedule and doesn't depend on what radio stations are nearby.

I'll take that ride TNana. :yes2557:
I can even bring several murder mysteries your ears haven't read yet.
Some of 'em are better heard by four ears in a well lighted area though, ---
If all that's available is an area dark, or very dimly lit, small and confined, where no one could hear you no matter how loudly you scream, ........... well, except for those with their ears on the C.B., listenin' for somethin' a little different,
but screams ain't nuthin' new. :biggrin_25512:

Those types are easy to read though, -- just like a bound book narrated live onto magnetic tape. In reply to any screams transmitted and heard by their ears, is transmitted in return on a BIG radio, --- received loud and clear, .... comes a crackly voice from the mouth of an invisible face, --- 'shet up -- stoopud,
    Thisis cartoon channel --- tri-nuther channel @h0, --- now git'che'yon outta heah',
    Break
    Break.
    'Cause I think I've digressed. :biggrin_25521:

If you choose to listen in similar conditions, I suggest havin' a tire-thumper within easy reach for a sense of security in case somethin' goes BuMp in the night.
You know, ...... while the narrator orates in great detail, all the horror inflicted upon helpless victims who were brutishly beaten by *BuMp*

    SEE?
You reached for your tire-thumper, ....... huh!?
    No, ...... wait!
    What's THAT?!
That ain't a pointy stick,,,,,,,,, IS it?
    :smt064
    It IS!!! :biggrin_2551:
    :stop:
    :help:

    That's different then.
    You got it covered.
    And THEN some.
