well i am enjoying the read tonite...sorry to see that you new nct drivers are figuring it out here. didn't want to say much that would discourage any of you but nct is just another trucking company...sadly one that figures that if they pay you big bucks then you just shut up and take it. you are all right about the shop...they just can't get trucks in and out for a simple b service even. and sadly the shop really doesn't care in westampton. the boro is a bit better and they at least try. as for dispatch and that jersey attitude i mentioned awhile ago...well; that is just it jersey attitude. to the driver that says no...keep that up. if more of us say no it will be a better place...maybe. i've got years here and have paid my dues and then some. i'm happiest when i am away from jersey and the outbound dispatch bull; hard part is i live in s jersey which means i have to deal with them more that i care to...but what the heck. money still isn't bad but not what it was. my biggest worry is is how bad we need new equipment and not feeling they have the resources to get any. #### shame the potential here to be a really great company and they probably won't get there because they think they are perfect and great already. hang in there guys and gals....how much worse could it get? and besides, its just trucking and we all know what that is like.

Yep dead on about the equipment there sargetom that bothers me alot as well because you realize how many miles the whole fleet has on it.I also totally agree it could be a great company but I think that ship has sailed,be safe out there drivers.

Wow! This thread completely died! New Century is making some big changes and I am a bit anxious about the direction of it and my future. It really feels like a big company now. We have added dispatchers and there are hiring with one years experience now. I hope others post to this page again....it used to be fun to follow! I am still here doing my thing.

i see what you mean "cat". i haven't been on in awhile either. going back a cpl of pages it tells me that the turnover rate is probably got something to do with it. that is where the 1 yr exp comes in and the 21 age. nct has gone the way of many outfits. this was a true elite fleet at one time...now...the mighty have fallen...quite a bit. figure recruiter paints the great picture and then dispatch shows you what a forgery looks like. managers can blame it on the economy all they want but bad spending habits and short sighted planning are a cpl of reasons. for those still here hang in there as long as you can...and as long as your money is still decent. happy thanksgiving to any that read this.
