Puppymomma,
You are absolutely right. I overlooked the fact that the destination for the pup was Tampa. I could definitely see the temp. issues and I also have had that problem in the past. Due to the somewhat vague nature of your original post, I made some assumptions that I shouldn't have as you just showed me.lol For that I offer my sincerest apologies. Let me take a look at a resource I have in regards to this subject. If I find anything that may be useful I will post it here.
Little Rock to Tampa

So I don't ship or anything....but don't they have Air conditioned cargo bays for animals?
I had a Parrot shipped in the WINTER time and it was heated...just wondering as this is all new to me. -
The commercial airlines won't ship a dog during warm weather. It has to do with the loading/unloading and the wait times on the ground. Nothing really to do with the plane itself.

No apologies needed. I am just so frustrated with trying to get accommodations for this puppy.

Have you talked to the buyer about the situation? I have had buyers in the past who would meet me halfway and in addition, pay for my expenses to go meet them.
I feel your frustration though as we lose sales on occasion because we are very reluctant to ship via air. It is a 100 mile drive one way to the nearest airport and thus a considerable cost for us to ship. When we give them our shipping costs, sometimes they go elsewhere for a puppy to save a few bucks, so I just say "thats fine, it is your loss". I guess what I am saying is that if they really want the puppy they may be willing to work with you and make some creative arrangements. -
I know exactly what you mean. I have had buyers from all over the US, well from almost every State. If they want the puppy bad enough they will drive half way or pay whatever it costs to fly. I am only 40 minutes from the Airport so no big deal there. I've lost sales and the way I figure it is if they want quality they have to pay for it.

Have you tried the USPS, UPS or FedEx ????
