Quick question on Werner

    Ok I have worked for Werner before and I enjoyed my time there, but of course i was stupid and did a u-turn which later got me fired, its been over a year since I have been fired and would like to return. Would Werner take me back since its been so long or am I pretty much SOL on going back to them. Its been quite hard to get an OTR job with that on my DAC. Any advice is welcome. I need to find a better job cause my current local job my hours have dropped from 50 a week to 10 - 20 hours. I dont have enough OTR experience to apply at other local companies.

    Get a copy of your DAC from Hire Right. It should say if you are eligible for rehire or not. The other option would be to pick up the phone and call them.

    yea thats what i thought i have my copy of my DAC somewhere but couldnt remember what it said about the rehire thing, I know as soon as companies seen that they quickly said no, and I understand the safety hazards of a u-turn and why it shouldnt be done but you live and learn and luckily no one got hurt. But yea I will give em a call.

    They'll be able to give you the straight deal on whether they will rehire you or not.....I seem to remember them being very strict about the u turn thing and also parking on ramps........

    yea i doubt they will rehire me, but just thought I would ask. How long do items stay on your DAC?

    I drive for Werner and It doesnt look good for you , Sorry. you can call but the are so F'n paranoid about this CSA 2010 crap that they will write you up for too many hard breaking incidents. cuz they have the Taddletail uh I mean qualcom that lets them know everything you do in that truck , good luck man I hope things work out for you

    i drive for them too... about the hardbreaking though. i have an 8/9 auto eaton in my pete and i got 4 hard break events in one week. they were going to write me up until it was determined that it was the tranny autodownshifting improperly. needless to say, it still hasnt been put in the shop. the fix is for them to ignore the hard break events.
