    Forced to. When I stated I was forced to, I was refering to the fact that if I hadn't forcably re-written the logbook, He would have sent me lookin for another job. And at that time, I needed a job. I have taxes and bills to pay and beause I had payments to pay...I didn't want to lose my property. Not that I am exspecting you to understand anything. After reading all your posts, all you seem to want to do is twist words and meanings and make it look the way you want it to sound. I am more than sure this next bit will get me some more ear spank from you, but, as it is, at least to me anyway, you just don't really sound to be very intelligent. And I'm sure you have your 2 cents lined up to give a reply to that one. But for me, and my thoughts about all of this...I'm sorry. You just don;t strike me as being very smart. Argumentative...yes. But intelectual...no.

    As for the car hauling verses trucking thing...well, there again, you are twisting the meaning. I hauled cars. I didn't pull a box and bump a dock like most regular truckers do I guess. I may have used a truck in my job, but I didn't look at myself as a truck driver. I guess it is all in the way a person looks at it. Not that I am expecting you to understand, you seem to be too arguementative about everything.

    "what does one's avatar or signature got to do with my character?"....I will leave that one alone. I am not expecting you to understand anything anymore.

    our prison system is jammed with aprx 40% that should not be there based on false info and illegal prosecutions and corrupt cops.
    i am also saying that, there are those that do need to be there- but...

    Justice Scalia " it is better for a guilty man to go free... than an innocent man go to prison"

    42%? Where'd you get that made up statistic? Ask 99% of a prison population if they're innocent and they'll say "yes".

    By the way, 73% of all statistics are given as made up numbers.

    Hey Rerun, this is something that I just HAVE to call you on. Not that I'm taking sides here, hell I'm enjoying the show.

    BUT

    You say "only the guilty get arrested."


    NOPE!

    Don't you know that according to our law, you are "innocent until proven guilty?" (Well except for some things such as tax evasion or whatever else big brother has decided you NOW have to PROVE YOUR INNOCENCE ON.)

    Anyhow, going with the "innocent until proven guilty,' thingy - this means that the vast majority of arrests, are of INNOCENT PEOPLE!

    Yeah, I know this is a shocker coming from a retired cop. But think about it. The MAJORITY of arrests are made BEFORE someone is tried and convicted. Therefore, we have been arresting "innocent" people with the majority of our arrests.

    Of course there ARE times that "GUILTY PEOPLE" are arrested! Yes! These would be the ones who HAVE been tried and convicted, are out on bail pending sentencing or for some other reason, and have skipped on their bail. THEN WE GET TO ARREST THE GUILTY!

    Otherwise, we pretty much arrest the innocent.

    (Even though I'm retired LEO, I'm using "we" here for simplicity."):biggrin_2559:

    Now then to Rileyratrod, I understand that many people in jail are innocent. Well, at least innocent of the charge they were convicted on. BUT of course, "they must be guilty of sumptin'!":biggrin_2559:
