I live about 100 miles south of Kansas City, KS. I've been on O/O for 6 years and can't seem to make $1500 a week (which I need). Some of the companies I've been leased to don't have a lot of freight in my home area, and I definitely feel the pinch when I want to go home. Does anyone know of any trucking companies that have freight in this area that I could make $1500 a week leased to? Thanks!

Should be relatively easy to do in that area. Check out www.shke.com, a friend of mine works for them and they have a TON of freight in that area back and forth to IL and other places. He tells me that most of their O/O's are very happy. Be worth looking into. Good Luck

Hard to say...last time I was out there...there seemed to be a lot of competition in the "lot liz" profession....especially near the big casinos!:biggrin_25522:

If you cant make it runnin that close to KC, you're doin something wrong.... We haul nation wide, but always head back to KC asap, TONS of good money loads around the KC area....

What are you pulling? And I am hoping you are talking about clearing $1500. So based on todays current fuel rates what is it costing you to run your truck based on 2500 miles per week? Then you need to get $.60 a mile better than this rate. You should be able to find $1.80-$2.00 per mile as an O/O. If you are leased on then that is going to be tough.
