Other than drive and sleep, what do OTR drivers do to entertain themselves? Certainly there is fantastic country to see and fun things to do.

It's like anything else. It's what you make it. You've got to remember, you're out there doing a job, and just like any job you've got to keep your head on straight about it. I remember some good times out there. And yes, you can see some pretty crazy ####.
-
You forgot two big pass times. Eat and argue!
-
Wow monkey boy, we finally agree on something.
-
Notarps & Rug: Is it you eat and compain about the food (that's what I figure anyhow most of the time) or do you eat and argue with who???
I know I complain about restraunts and I do not eat out as much as you guys;. This is why I want my own restraunt for truck drivers! It will be great homemade cooking, but to offer light meals (dieters, ec).
That is my dream though
-
Both, drivers will argue with themselves if they run out of people to lock horns with!

There all kinds of entertainment options available to drivers.
You can try out reading, or books on tape. At some truck stops there are movie theaters, small rooms with a big screen or projection TV. There always good bargains to be found in the parking lot, lots of wheeling and dealing going on out there at all hours. The variety of items is truly amazing, everything from load locks to jewelery, and at amazing prices.
If your looking for a good place to voice your opinion, ask for directions, or discuss politics then the CB is the way to go.
No matter what time it is there is always someone on the CB. A driver can learn all kinds of things by listening to the other drivers talking on the CB. There's always an exciting time a round the corner, when your talking on the CB. I am sure that in no time you can master the subtle uses, and various ways of communicating with a CB.
These are just a few of the wonderful and exciting things that can be done as part of the trucking experience.
