Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Well I thought I was going to work for Wabash Valley Transportation, but I called them today too make sure I was still scheduled to start next Tuesday and they told me I wasn't going to be able to work for them; no explanation at all. Now just two weeks ago after they did all the checks and all that good stuff, I was told that I was hired and they welcomed me aboard and set up my start date. Now they are saying something totally different (GO FIGURE), so I wouldn't recommend this company especially since I have turned down several other job offers since they hired me.

Michaelmtc,
I'm real sorry to hear about WVT's inappropriate behavior, first telling you you had a job, then only telling you that you can't work for them. Just when were they going to tell you, when you arrived for orientation, Oh by the way Michael, you can't work for us.
It's companies like this that give the trucking industry a bad name. There are a lot of questionable companies out there!
Once again, Sorry! Hopefully, some of those that you applied to will take you. Best of luck!

Hello, I appreciate the reply, and I thank you for it. I am still looking for a good company to sign on with. I have about 22mos experience totall and I would prefer a faltbed company. I would like to get home every weekend and would like to make atleast $1000 a week. I have been with some pretty ###### company's and would like to get one that is good. Anybody knows anything out there that might fit the bill, I appreciate it.
Thanks again. -
Have you talked with Jefferson or Stonebelt?

Try maverick.

I have been talking to Boyd bros for the last week. They offered me a job before but I had some communication problems with a recruiter, and I was also talking to W.V.T. and decided to go there. I have talked to Stonebelt and haven't talked to Jefferson. Stonebelt told me .32 a mile which I can't live off of that. I'm thinking Boyd Bros will work out, the only problem I'm haveing with this company is that they won't get me a rental car and the closest bus terminal is over an hour away, not that big of deal but a pain in the ###. I will get .40 a mile and home every weekend for 36 hours. I haven't heard any thing bad about this company. Any body know anything about this company let me know.
