I have an 04 Volvo 670. It has wiring for a Qualcomm and a bracket for a satellite antenna but has neither.
I was installing a boost guage and when I was messing around insode the dash, I came across a small black box that I am curious what it is. The trucks ignition was off but this box had 2 small LED lights glowing. It had a wiring harness with probably 10 wires or so, half of which were cut, the other half ran into the dash. The box is about the size of a pack of cigarettes.
I wrote down the Manufaturer and part number, but when I googled it nothing came back.
Numerex P/N IMU10G1-02-NM01
It also had an FCC License number like what on the back of radios and other electrical devices. Any ideas what it could be? The only thing I can think is it used to be part of the qualcomm? It was located just to the left of the fuse box in the center of the dash, nowhere near the rest of the qualcomm wiring.
What is this box in my dash?
