    Me myself I used this rule.
    Microwave = 700 watts
    Refer = 100 watts (max)
    skillet = 600 watts
    other = 200 watts (computers, phone chargers etc)
    Total 1600

    1600x1.5 = 2400 watts

    So I got a 2500 watt invertor
    Will you be using everything at one time, most likely not. But if you need it you have it...

    I use a RandMcNally Commercial Vehicle GPS. Under "quick stop" it will route me to the nearest WalMart.

    Yup that's the way to do it. I'm contractually limited to what my carrier installs. They had some shmoe decide that he needed a nuclear reactor in the truck (aka 3000 watt inverter,) installed himself, and burned the truck down to the chassis when it shorted out.

    They didn't seem to appreciate that! :biggrin_25523:

    ya... you HAVE to make sure you put that inline fuse in at the battery. It protects you, the truck & the company...

    The new truck we got today, I had the shop boss have the mechanic pull the side panels and look at the batteries to make sure the fuse was there. I told him if there wasn't I'd take the one off of the W9 and put it in.(I took the one off of the W9 anyway, I spent $45 for it.)

    Hmm, you dont know how to eat in a truck? Buy a burton stove to go and any checkout counter casserole/crockpot book and eat like a king...think of it as a mini crockpot, just use oven cooking bags to make the cleanup easier, since you dont have a sink in the truck. pot roast, pork loin, beans, the only thing i never could figure out how to cook in my burton stove was pasta, but i know there has to be a way...
