For those who are considering May as their company, I would like to just drop this little tidbit.
The time that I worked for May, I loved it, and they treated me very well. If there where problems, they would get addressed, and if the problem persisted, then they did what they could to resolve the situation.
I was out of the Brooks Terminal, and had some pretty awesome OSL's. The thing about these OSL's is that if you wanted to talk to them face-to-face, then they where more than happy to come out, or to buzz you in.
The fact that the company has a policy of getting to know your OSL's on a personal level makes the job a whole lot easier. When I drove for them, they ran me as hard as I wanted, and got me home 99% of the time when I had requested.
I have no ill will towards the company or towards the employees at all!

I'm not picking on you, doubting you are/were a driver, but this statement is eerily like the one posted by a driver in a thread about the company I recently worked for. This seems just like the ones posted my management posing as drivers in order to push positive comments to offset the negative ones. -
All Companies have problems, and sometimes if they did not get resolved in the way you wanted, then the best thing to do is go to someone else, and that is exactly what I did

I am a driver and would not want to be in the position of management
It is too much responsibility! Most people who post comments are going to be against a given company because they are not happy. So, I am doing the opposite and talking about my experience with the company

SO....you left May after they didn't resolve something the way you wanted...although you posted that your problems were addressed and more effort was applied is something persisted? Sounds vague, like lawyer-speak, or safety manager. -
Lol, no, my leaving the company had nothing to do with anything but an injury that kept me from being able to drive at that moment in time. In regards to problems, all companies have them, I was merely stating that I was always able to go to someone to get them resolved.
I am sorry if you feel it is lawyer speak or safety manager speak, but it is not, it's genuine

He speaks the truth, Ronin, I also work for May as well. I can verify all he says as well. And I'm not management.

I miss the trucks, I loved my Freightliner Century with all the guages and the Owner Op spec interior. And the 13 speed! That was the best......That's about all I miss though.

The only issue I have with May is the idle policy as drivers we should not have to pay for idle time while hauling there loads if im an O/O then that is different. 20% is not enough idle time in the summer.

Many companies might attempt something like this. However, May Trucking Company is not one of them, integrity and drivers speaking about "REAL" experiences is important to them. His experience happens to be good, that is all. As you can see May has a great reputation online and offline... It is not as if there is a bunch of "horrible" comments and he is throwing a nice one for the company... As you will see (with little research) Is quite the opposite.
Good employeers don't need to make up "testimonials" their brand speaks for it's self.
