Check Roehl for sure, I am going tomorrow for my DOT and then should be getting my start date for school with them, I am self employed and it was not a problem, just getting my stuff together to meet the federal requirements. The school has gotten good reviews and form what I have seen it is a good place to start and get some experience.

I'd Call one of our recruiters to check...

Slip seating means you dont have a perminatly assigned truck, so it can be yours this week then you pull into a terminal and they say this is your new truck..Changeing trucks is a HUGE pain in the Az$. And because of that they do NOT allow power inverters in their trucks.

I dont know about you but 60mph is wayyy to slow for me.

I lived in underhill, VT for 7 years, about 15-20 minutes from smugglers notch....I snowboard:biggrin_25525:

Slip seating is sharing the truck with another driver or team, like with a 7 on 7 off schedule

they lowered their hireing standards and they had 3 or more trucks running into low bridges PER MONTH for like 5 months straight because the drivers said "I was following my GPS" so they took them out.

Oh and they also use Electronic logs just like schnieder does....You dont want those if you want to make money :biggrin_2559:

Hey American Trucker . Thanks Again! We are at Smugglers Notch . First time here and love it. I'm probably to old for the snowboard.

Made the mistake of approaching from the south and 108 is snowed in , had to wrap all the way around to get here.

I agree 60 mph is way to slow, so no Schneider for me . And no slip seat either just give me the truck and get out of my way :biggrin_255:
