:biggrin_2551:yo dude this is what ur going to look like, if you start believing all the garbage that those huge companies are telling you, there will be little miles(no money), little home time, i do feel for you new guys who think your only option is to go with a large company, because that is what someone wants you to believe.......if you look hard enough you can find small companies who pay good and do local work.............good luck yo

There is local stuff available for sure. OTR might be the easiest to get on with, and hey, that's building experience. But when the local guys that want expereince are reviewing apps, and here's a rookie with no points & decent job history, or a 10 yr driver who has points/violations, or other job prohibitive info in his closet....sometimes they have to weigh their options.

Having many jobs in a short time is not good, but you can never have too many apps out there! Not saying your should run yourself out of money either waiting for a local job....however, there might just be that one company that will take a shot with ya...just never know.

After looking at your location...I know Cemex & TXI Riverside, which are huge cement (bulk powder, not wet mud, that's concrete) producers in Victorville & Oro Grande area, may have openings as well. They run flatbed to deliver sacked cement products, or pneumatics to deliver bulk powder to batch plants & the like. Something to consider as well.
