ROFLMAO! That last post of yours makes it sound like you worked for TA but all of your whole 9 total posts show you don't!
If you do then it's in the next to the last post of yours #77 in the last 8 hours which can only mean you're at the motel waiting for orientation with the other 30 or so new hires! That alone should scare you! THIRTY? Count the chairs when you get to the yard along with the applicants then count them Wed when you get out of class and if your are still there count the new class on Wed morning! Now there's a laugh! 2 orienation classes a week! That many drivers going through he should have a gadzillion trucks in the fleet!

So what do YOU know? I can't wait to read your post in a few months which will be about like all the others in the TA threads! This is going to be good! A very soon to be cheerleader gets his POS truck from a POS company! Have fun "Meat Hauler!" ROFLMAO! But I would do as I mention I do below to COVER YOUR ARSE! They WILL do as I tell it below!

Now to answer your little question from post number 81

Yes I do know the Dad!

I worked for TA back in 2003 for a full year.

    OK that's a lie!

I QUIT 1 week short of a year as I was tired of every week some piece of paper that I put MY cash on or a comcheck such as a toll, scale, oil, washer fluid, repairs, tires and so on were not being paid AND the BOLs that committed suicide by crawling out of the Trip Paks on the way to the yard. Then that idiotic method of them NOT asking the driver for 2 weeks where the BOL was when opening them. Why wait 2 weeks was beyond me! But I never went to business management in college! It must be a new way of accounting or something!

I had already when I started working there been making copies of all my paperwork for years as I kept a tower unit and scanner copier in the truck! I used to do it the old-fashioned way by paying for copies but I do love technology!

I had to write the so called owner of the company with his pathetic TA Tattoo on his forearm a letter and sending it return receipt to make sure it didn't disappear in the mail how I felt about working for free which is the same thing when you run then don't get paid because paper work just doesn't show up and I'm one of those types that I do it the same way every time! NOTHING goes on the floor, dash, pocket or on the bunk!

It goes in the trip pack as soon as I get in the truck and into the folder and written down on the trip sheet on the back of the trip pak and every day when going off duty it gets scanned into that trips file then put in the trip pack.

At the end of that run when the load is delivered all the paper work is removed from the pack, checked off on the back with all those little boxes having it's check mark and then a picture of the PW halfway in with the BOL on top! Then the thing is sealed and scanned into the file and put in the first TP box I come to either that day or the next!

The stupid thing is you walk to that little window in the lobby and ask where that pay is on so and so trip and you would get the usual covers all BS statement from the women in the office...
    Ready??....
Your trip pak didn't come in!! You give then the OH, OK and then sneak around and go into logs and ask about log such and such a date which was in the same trip pack and voloa here it is! Whats the problem and then you can just walk through the office to the woman I just talked to and ask her about that BOL and she gives me the same BS and I look her in the eye and tell her thats funny as the logs made it in and pull out of an envelope I have in my at that time nicotine stained fingers and hand a copy of that BOL, a scale ticket, the copy of the trip pack, several receipts that went with the bill and the lumper receipt all made on my scanner in the truck AND a picture of all of them in the trip pak!

Ever get an office person to shut up? This will do it! I ask her if she wants to keep the BS up and I would like a Comcheck for that trip which I should have gotten last week.

Mr Johnny I knew was standing behind me and I turned and asked him if that was fair as someone lied to me about not receiving a trip pack when it had made it in due to the logs being there!

You would think that after knowing I had copies of every piece of paper that went through my fingers those idiots in that office would figure out when I called and told them any paperwork that "was missing" was in an email to their desk and that BS with me didn't work!

I finally gave up on that loser company and quit 1 week before my 1 year was up, giving up that bonus and vacation pay to go back to my old company where for 4 years NEVER had a trip pak not come into the office! NEVER! But at Trans Am they were always not getting there, BOL's were not in them along with high dollar repair receipts which WERE faxed by the shop per company crapola rules! Go Figure! I guess Trip Pak would stop delivering their stuff if they didn't get THEIR money! Who knows and I don't care any more as that BFI is going the way most of them do!

Yes I DO know how Johnny works and his boyfriend Ron, Roy or whoever it was sitting across from him in that glass walled office of theirs!

As the old saying goes the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree!

I'd have to have at LEAST half of the drivers that manage to wallow through 1 year tell me any different as to how Johnnies son is doing!

Oh don't argue with me about the oil and other stuff. I wasn't in the yard anymore than I needed to be so I didn't carry anymore crap than would fit in the side box and that old POS Detroit leaked oil and coolant like a sieve! Write ups like crazy but as long as it started they didn't give a split! The ONLY thing fixed when in the yard was that boat anchor Rig Master!

OK Danny309 . Lets start in the upper right hand corner of your post...
    Trucker? your answer 2 years
    member since 2008
    posts- 10.

    Then this from that post of yours above;
And looking in your history all you want to know about is TA?
This is your very first post on TTR on 09.22.2008 and this makes me at least wonder about that first quote I posted above.

I've heard HIS (Johnnies) side of the story as to why he's no longer part of that
which Critter never was known as the
or those years of experience from this questionable statement would have told you that MONFORT was the actual ORIGNAL "LEFT LANE FLEET" ! Thats why the left lane is STILL called the MONFORT LANE by us old timers! It never was called the Critter lane, The _____ Fleet or that companies name lane!

FYI, the blank lines are for those who actually remember the nicknames and Legal name of the company that Johnnie was part owner of to fill in not the CB handle of the company known on the road as Critter which many of the newer drivers will look at you like you're an idiot if you call to them Hey Critter!

I've also heard the other side of the story as to why he was "let go" (ROFLMAO) from Critter.

Those of us who have been out there long enough know the "handle" of that company which is "Critter" or "The _____ Fleet"

Even the news article that was posted on the bullentin board at the old truck stop on that break up does or the waitresses in Liberal who were more than happy to join in with the drivers sitting around the tables of every resturant in town does not jive with the "story" we got in orienation. I almost walked out as he was talking but I needed the job so I toughed it out without hurling that pizza lunch all over his feet!

Many of us have heard the stories around the dinner counter at the truck stops when he "left," and on the CB when it was still used for something other than the playground it's turned into so please quit with the silly spin! Where IS the desk you drive located in either of the buildings on Hwy 169 and 159th st??

Not all of us are rookies that you're trying to either impress or kill the spin on all the truthful information out here about a lot of the companies. Untill us old timers die off or completely lose our collective minds the truth will always be out there!

You have put your keyboard where you can't remove any of the stuff you have posted. It's now history and, well, it's now in print! You just can't write anything else to spin this BS anymore. Best to give up as you're in to deep to dig out of.

As some of like to say...

    CHEERLEADER!!

I try to be a correct BUT when I am wrong I'll admit it in a NYC second! I've spent a lot of time years back in Liberal! That story is well known and what I heard back in '03 in orienation in Olathe I really did almost get up and walk out! I just needed to get back to work after that federal spanking I took for a lead foot! LOL

Bill started out with Transam and I rode with him from the day he got his truck until he quit. Unfortunately, being new to the trucking industry, we thought TA was horrible, and to make a long story short, he ended up job hopping through 4 OTR carriers until we came off the road and he got his local job here in the Buffalo area. Looking back, the first thing we did wrong was job hop. SO much to learn the hard way in this industry!! However, and this is only my opinion so please don't yell at me!, Transam would have been the better choice for him to stay at and get his 2 years OTR rather than bounce around to Celadon, Prime and Melton. I know TA is not perfect, I just feel that for us personally, it would have made a lot more sense to just suck it up and stay put, because at least in our situation, they did not treat us that badly. We just did not realize it at the time. This is only our experience, and I can promise you I have never lied or exaggerated on this forum. Stay safe everyone, and I am happy to be back on line:yes2557:

I am happy to be back and also happy to hear from you! Hope all is still well at TA for you. I thought you would be the voice of reason seeing as how you have been driving for them for a long time now. It is too bad if things have gone downhill that badly since Bill left, but overall I still believe a driver could do a lot worse than be a company driver for TransAm. Be safe!

I worked for them back then too. They were very good then, dosent seem so now. Thats sad but it always happens when a company gets to big or the owners retire and the kids take over.
