Can someone tell me if the pay scale for the team drivers are per drive or is that what the team gets total. Thanks
is the pay scale for team per person or do they split it?

Each team member gets what they are entitled to based on experience level. The miles are split evenly between the team members. Therefore: if your rate is 29cpm and your teammate's rate is 31cpm, you run 5600 miles in a week: You will get paid 29cpm for 2800 miles, your teammate will be paid 31cpm for 2800 miles. This applies to company drivers.
Lease Operators....whoever signed the contract gets the contracted rate (92cpm+FSC loaded, 81cpm deadhead) for all dispatched miles and then pays the co-driver. The co-driver is an employee of the lease operator and rate is negotiated with him or her. -

That wasn't the question, Prairie Boy.

I think it must depends on the carrier, I know I was paid per mile, loaded or not and no matter who was driving. I just looked on a site and they are paying $.16 per mile for team so it better be per mile. It looks to me like a new driver will be looking at around $.27 - .32 per mile that they drive or around half that for total miles the truck runs for team.

thats a bit different than the way i have seen some places pay--lots of times it seems--like a 50 cent split--but that is for all miles--25 cpm to each driver wether you are driving or sleeping
its been so long since i did my bit of team driving that i cant remember how i got paid--not sure it is something i wold really like now tho--really depends on your team mate--luckily the guy i was with was great and we are still good friends 13 years later
