Nope. I would still go around the tolls though. Work my way to 90 outside Cleveland.
Then over to 86 in NY, and up 88 to Albany. Then straight up 87.
Chicago to new york

I know, I just had to ignore that fact and answer the question properly to attempt and frustrate you. LOL. I am sure it did not work. But I was bored. And wanted to try and not get the sarcasm.

Not sticking up for ppioter that much, but have any of you posters read his post as in the #6 post on this thread??? At least he knows that there are tolls and is asking questions, it seems that his boss does'nt have a clue about tolls. At least thats my read. Read post #6 and let me know if i'am wrong or not. It seems that the company has some issues.

Funny I saw the same thing--although he put this post in 3 or 4 places--and what I find even more ironic is how so many of the newer drivers here always post how us older types are(pick your adjective)and why also on another one of his posts I asked--where he was going in NY--how heavy he would be and what kind of time constraints he had? And stated if he would put those out there maybe we could be more helpful?
And according to your sign on--you have been around a long time also and are from the badger-(and I am sure getting thru the Windy and out East is something you have also had to deal with all to often!)-and I assume(bad word)that you(like myself) could also think of a dozen alternatives--depending on the circumstances--but these things always tend to get off track very quickly

Back in'78 when i started driving, my east coast went as far as Lordstown/Youngstown oh., that was as far as the company's operating authority went, lucky me.I've had my far share of running 20,6,30,even U.S 2 in Toledo Oh. to Cleveland Oh. When i started running NY and some NE, i had to run the tolls per the company, going to PA. because the truck needed to go on a diet, if ya know what i mean. But anyway, because of going through the windy from Wisconsin and what time of day you left, that pretty much dictated how you were going to run your load and if the company you drove for would even pay for tolls or just some of them. That was back in the day thou. Because of 294 going to open road tolling as they call it and i-pass, ya, it's easier, but again it's the time of day you go through, and now with the toll increase it's pricey.I wonder why the op on here never got back to you, maybe got the info he/she needed or got scared ?????? P.S. i like it when you hear new O/O'S that really do not have experiance running out east and say that they are making a killing out here with the freight rates going out east,ok?? now, i'am not a O/O so i'm sure i will probley get slamed for this, but i ask them how much they are making after tolls and the cost of doing business and running all the back roads to avoid the tolls, that takes a toll on the equipment it's self, there eye's glaze over and just say, i leave that to my accountant. ?????????? ok.
