Whos a better company Crete or Con-way

Maybe 10 years ago Crete was a good place to work. But, now..no way. Days of sitting without pay, smart ### dispatchers with no clue. they have zero respect for drivers. I drove for Crete for 2 years without one single late load or refusal of any load and on my dac they put reason for termination...OTHER. rehire upon review.

Give Conway Truckload a try! Their reputation is excellent in these parts. I live in Joplin and you'd enjoy your stay while you're here. They use the Joplin Holiday Inn for their hotel... nice place! The Crowder College trucking school is one of the best in the nation. Don't think you could go wrong

 

I started at truckload as well and I had a pleasant experience. I ended up leaving for personal reasons but still think they are a decent starter company.

I also give Kudos to Crowder. Great school to learn from.. and if they still have the CDL program running in conjunction with Con-way its a good deal. Get your cdl, haul 1 load solo and your school is paid in full. The down side is you have to pay 1800 up front (which includes lodging and meals). Good deal if you ask me.

Hey XLSDRAW you have fun with that Conway choice okay, according to my attorney they are going to be my favorite transportation company in less than 30 days. Be real careful.......I'm going to say this in a third company form ...get it...
Some companies buy NOT MERGE with other companies then fire LOTS OF EMPLOYEES.....hmmmm wonder why.....can you say UNION BUSTERS, And its golden archs all the way and yes they have a few clowns .....but none named Ronald and wearing big red shoes. Just a little food for thought

 

Well I know conway ltl here in Nashville trains you free of charge toget you CDL. You work the dock when not training. You can transfer from LTL to truckload if over the road is your style. I don't know if you have to work # the LTL a certain amount before you can transfer though.

 

Why not move the bar a little higher ??


Crete and Con-Way are not the top 2 companies out there !!!!

 

I have no clue why anyone would want to do OTR with Conway when the income potential is less.
