There are these places called CHURCHES. Heck just ask our Lord for help.. He is everywhere an earnest heart is.. Believe in Him and He will help.

Not getting a ticket only means the cop gave you a break because he/she didn't want to screw you twice. The accident report will show who's at fault, because that's what the accident report is for. I wrote them, read them and reviewed them for 26 years. Moreover, if a report is taken, it will show up on your MVR, but it's up to your carrier to report to DAC. Cops don't report to DAC, they don't even know what it is. lol

I was never hired by the carrier. I was on a road test for a carrier. So if they chose not to report it then it won't show? How long should I wait before checking either report to be sure?truckn22 Thanks this.

in some instances it can be immediate (the DAC report)..in others, it may take upwards to 2 months.
i'd wait about 20-30 days before i request a DAC report. however be forewarned, you only get 1 free report each year. so if you have already received a free copy since January of 2011, then you will have to pay for any more reports....unless....you were denied a job due to a BAD DAC report.....and the "future" employer tells you you had a bad DAC report, and this is the reason why they denied you employment...
now given this is a lawsuit crazed world we live in, to prevent lawsuits, the past employer(s) may not say anything disparaging about you....they may however say, "not re-hirable" or "re-hirable with review".....
which what this means is, you're gonna pay for another DAC. -
Hmmm - just joined today and had a question along this line. I recently started looking for a CDL job as a student (got laid off at my other job) and as you know all companies ask for your driving history. Here is my dilema - I had not had an accident in over 10 years... up until 3 months ago. In my personal car, I hit the side of a car as I pulled out a side street. No police were involved but there was enough damage to get my insurance company involved get the vehicles fixed. I pulled my MVR for the last 10 years and it has no record of this (I guess because no police were involved).Never having a CDL job I don't think I have a DAC. From the posts I see in this forum it seems that most claim only what is on their record. Is that right? It also seems that an accident either takes you out of the running for a job or out of it if you have one? I was looking forward to a new career but I worry how much this one incident impacts it.

I was hit by another car and it knocked me out of the running for MANY jobs, so good luck.

No report, no ticket, it won't show on your MVR. Only record of it is your insurance company, they don't report to DMV, DOL, or whatever it's called in your state. No CDL, no DAC report. Assuming everything else is ok you would be good to go.

Yes, he's correct. My car accident last June had a Police Report, but no tickets. It shows on my MVR, but not on my DAC.
