I just wanted to say those fish pics are some beauts. I haven't had much time either to fish lately and I'm also a company driver, but those times the load isn't ready until next day or if I'm by a hole and need to do a reset, FISH ONI have a option to have my preplan text to my cell which helps alot when I'm away from the truck.

Time is always an issue, but if youre on a wait, and there is a creek there may be some fish. Sometimes the nap will win. Ive pulled some fish from puddles not as big as bath tubs. You just never know till you toss a lure. Creek fish are always hungry.

I snuck out and grabbed some fish this weekend. I was targeting brim this time. I like them. Good eating and I got a pole rigged for them. Ultra light pole with a mini reel. I got 2 lbs test line and they put up a good fight on that rig. I caught a couple bass, but had to throw them back. They was under the limit by 2 inches. Here is 1 I tossed back.

Very nice catch how do like to cook your fish on the truck. I been using the George Forman grill garlic butter and foil bones fall right off the meat. I can't wait to get back up to north dekota. Ifyou ever drive by devils lake, loaded waleye. They were biting jigs when I fished them. Lots of places to park your rig too. Even have a local bait shop in that tiny town. Cell reception sucks so heads up

Thanks. To be honest I have never fished when out on the road. I always did when I when I came in. Now I am off the road and can go whenever I want. I fillet my fish; so there is no bones to worry about.

i have 3 rods mounted to the roof of my bunk tackle bag behind the driver set.. i wet a line when ever i can.. try the retinchon ponds around the bisness parks...

Driver1189 brings up a good point. You'd be surprised where you'd find fish. Obviously some I wouldn't eat. Never tried those retention ponds, one because they don't look like they're being fed by a stream etc, and two the geese will screw up your fishing.
Ok I'll give up one of my "Honey Holes" because it's obvious. South Carolina, Georgia line, going North on the South Carolina side there's a rest area, bordering a lake.
My best advice is be creative, and use technology. Use google earth when you do a trip plan. When you're driving and you come to a body of water or a bridge, take note is it near an off/on ramp?, rest area? Another tip is ask your dispatcher to give you a load, going somewhere in the area. There are more ways , too many to list, that you can do to make time to fish while out on the road.Big Les Thanks this. -
Wow! Ever incounter a bear while fishing. Thus, to close to nature for me luckily it wasn't hungry
