Nah - I definately am NOT going to name the company here, sorry. They really dont hire new truckers - I told them I was new but had a few Cali runs team, and the owner said "so you have experience right?" and I said yes, and was hired lol.
I thought it would have come back when they went to insure me, but somehow either it didn't or they didn't care - I really dont know lol.
All I will say is this: It is a small company, and the owner has like 20 trucks. Dispatch is 2 of his relatives and open from 8-5. -
Have you seen any evidence of this insurance? hehehehehee
Mikeeee -
True, but one of the rules your breaking, cooking the books is not one a professional driver is gonna play around with.
-
Why would a guy with 20 trucks run someone without proper insurance ? By the sounds of things to save $
Have you seen a PAY CHECK yet ?
More $ saving
1) Window missing on drivers side cab top bunk
2) Side repeater not working (wire snapped when spoiler blew off truck)
3) Passenger side fuel tank cap missing
4) Fifth wheel plate dry, needs slick bags
5) spoilers broken off
6) air dam broken off
7) Drivers side trailer tires bald, uneven wear, and blistering, need replacing
Glad hand grommets dry rotted, need replacing
JUNK !
" so they really are cool to work around me like this, which is why I want to try and stick it out and hopefully make this work. "
I work with my drivers , they get GOOD equipment , Fuel CARDS that work , they even have Windows in their trucks.
-
QUOTE -"Um, the truck did have insurance and stuff in the binder, and I did have to go and take a drug test before they would let me run (of which I did pay for myself sigh) so I ASSume that the insurance was in my name........."
Why would the INSURANCE be in your NAME ? , it would be in the name of the person / company listed on the vehicle registery.
Story sounds like Crock of Bull

Lighten up. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I've seen and been through as bad or worse.
Now, whatever he faces going forward, he's got experience that a lot of new drivers today will never have.
I commend him for pushing through it, too, and I used to be TTR Forum staff.Logan76 Thanks this. -
So in essence what you guys are saying is,he was right in breaking federal law, putting the general publics safety at risk,he said he was tired, not to mention his own safety, and at the same time put his career at risk before it even got started.Doesnt sound like something to commend to me.I respect the fact he toughed it out and made the run,I wouldnt commend his actions nontheless.Your making it sound like he was right in what he was doing. He did what he thought was needed to be done. That in itself earns my respect. If he had shut it down and done what he should have done would have been something that deserves someones applause and commends. That takes even more guts, not staying quite, breaking laws and putting peoples lives at risk.NDBADLANDS and Tazz Thank this.
