Is this a good load to book if the milage they say is Approx 1500 miles from Carlisle PA to Wilmer TX. Pls make note that they have put many dollar sings on the listing?

I have been using a Christian based broker out of Florida. BHW Logistics will you keep you moving and they can get you some great rates, even coming out of Florida. They keep me moving with my dead head under 50 miles. You really cant go wrong in this economy.

With LS, it is not about the overall company but the agency. They all are free to qoute the rates they want.
What can get frustrating is that some agents will undercut other LS agents. Almost had a good thing going on a load from home going to MI, 300 mile range, paying $980 at the time and another agent came in and now I see that load paying $450.
And if it hits the public load boards they are desperate. Don't knock them if you don't have the full picture.
What I love best is knowing the rate before I call. -

Peak Transportation Solutions, out of Byron Center, MI... overall a great broker. However, over the past several months, there has been continuous issues with a "select" dispatcher. Issuing incorrect pick-ups or locations, "double-tapping" deductions, as well as barely functioning on Fridays, leaving drivers to sit for a weekend waiting for a dispatch call... and those are just a few issues.
Though these may seem to really be just occupational hazards, when these events happen consistently, causing drivers to back track mileage, at their own expense, due to a mis-quote, one feels frustrated, as well as a hard pinch on the pocket book. Not to mention, it then becomes a huge "he said/she said" situation... of which no owner operator has time OR money for.
I am loosing my faith in our broker due to their lack of corrective action towards this "select" dispatcher.
