Haven't heard too much about Stevens, my only contact with them was when I was checking out a lipstick lesbian and her butch partner got pretty riled up about it. I went with Schneider, I had good luck with them.

Oh yea, as far as training, I would choose Schneider over Stevens any day! Stevens is not the worst, but certainly not the best to be sure. Schneider has it's problems but is a far cry from Stevens, IMHO.

Well i'm going to go to a local college for training then they will place me with a job. I was just wondering who pays the most and who lets you go home for more then one day out of a year. but thank you very much for the info I will check out Schneider web site.

Which Trucking Companies would you suggest for student training? I start, or i'm suppose to start training w/PAM tomorrow..

    Much Appreciated.

The thing you need to do, instead of asking for random input from drivers, is to figure out what it is that YOU want from a trucking company and then find one that fits those criterion. That's my advice.

SWIFT is probably not the best place to start out as a trainee. There are a few companies that do well getting you on your way your first year. Where are you located? Maybe one of them is near you.

At any rate, I would advise you to think about what it is that you want to accomplish as a driver (especially your first year, which is the one that counts the most towards making your career). You can literally go anywhere in the country and get a job if you can safely get that first year of experience under your belt.

none of the companies who hire newbies pay dink. you ned a year or two experience before you can even think of transfering out of a training company and ino a good co where you can make decent money
