Heavy Haul Photos

Yes all aluminum, short and heavy. 42' and 11,500# I had it built for what you see. It does a very good job of it. I would rather haul 79,000 on it than 60,000 on my old trailer which was a Fontaine Phatom X. Not knocking the Fontaine its a good trailer it just not a heavy built Mac.

 

We haul logs, chips and hog fuel on 4 and 5 axle trailers and gross about 60-73 000 kg (130-160 000 lbs) every load. Coming out of the bush, the lift axle(s) are up too so that weight is more concentrated, particularly coming over hog backs. I have had some so bad that the last two axles were in the air and the entire trailer load was on the front solid and the air lift axle on my logging trailer.

Thats how we roll.

Hey Texomatic,

I was involved in that move. Did a bunch of moves between Rosharon, Houston & Riesel with equipment they needed for it.

Took 5 of us just to haul the orange pieces that made up the cradle that is riding on.

Mammoet does some impressive moves & lifts. They have a bunch of good people working for them too.

My idea of a heavy load. 2000+ pounds on a quarter horsepower. Sorry not a truck (there are trucks under the car ends), does that count?
