I drive for Melton Truck Lines out of Tulsa, OK. I only have 1 yr experience but have driven for 2 others companies, TMC being one of them and Melton in my opinion is the best hands down. They seem to really take care of their drivers as well as their equipment.

Yeah, I have seen Melton around quite a bit. How long have you worked for them?

I have only been with them a little over a Month, but the other companies I have worked for all it took was a max of a week to figure them out. I have yet to be lied to, and they are quick to start fixing anything wrong with there equipment. The runs are good, some tighter than others but all doable from what I have seen so far. Will keep updated the longer I am here, but so far it is great; haven't been lied to yet.

Hitman74 keep us posted. I have been interested in Melton but never really heard anything good about them mostly bad so I wasn't sure what to think. It is good to hear about ones good experience with a carrier.

I have always considered Melton and they "seem" like a decent company. I love their trucks and the fact that they are a flatbed carrier. I would like to give them a shot but it is a h*ll of a gamble for a company that is based 2000 miles from where I live. I have a few questions for who ever can answer them?

    1. Do they do any on the road training?
    2. What is their operating area?
    3. Do they utilize EZ or PrePass?
    4. Do they hold orientation at their Youngstown Ohio yard? if not how do they get a person to orientation in Tulsa?
    5. What loads did they purchase the 53 foot trailers for?
    6. Are they good about getting you home for home time?

I'd sure appreciate the come back.:biggrin_25525:

Prepare to do a lot of tarping. Practically everything they haul requires tarping. I believe they also do orientation somewhere in Ohio and you take your truck home.
These companies usually require you to stay out 14 days with 2 1/2 days off.
    Good luck.

I talked to one of Melton's recruiters yesterday, and she said they drive in all the lower 48 states and go to Canada...I looked up their website and is interested in them, but she said I need a little more experience...
