You wanna come drive for me? I will pay you 120% of what the truck GROSSES. You only have to take the loads you want at your leisure, I will provide you with a new truck of your choosing and, if you get tired on the road, you can book into the hotel of your choice, all expenses paid for as long as it takes for you to recover. All you need to do is sign a 3 year contract that you are legally bound to work for me and no-one else and you can't quit. You can hold me to it (not legally of course)

Work conditions subject to change without notice

Let's look at their practical first steps.

1: Hire more Doctors and Nurses - Great idea. However, the current healthcare system isn't going to afford more, and hasn't got the capability to pay more to give any incentives for more to be hired. Where would the money come from to do this? Well, it's an NDP government, and NDP will spend those tax dollars for more social services. End result? Higher taxes.

2: Strengthen your Pension - So, they want to double your public pension, and offer more choice over retirement savings. I, on the other hand, would rather they don't touch my money in that area. I would be willing to forfeit any and all CPP I've paid in, if they would exempt me from paying any more, and just let me take care of my own retirement funds. If any of our governments were good at handling money, there wouldn't be deficit budgets, and loads of government debt.

3: Kick-start job creation - Okay, this one, I can agree on. I can't argue with the 2% tax cuts for small businesses.

4: Help out your family budget - Capping credit card rates, and "giving consumers control over their cellphone bills". What kind of bullcrap is that. NO ONE is forced to use a credit card, or a cell phone. So, why is government looking to stick its' big freakin nose in there? Because so many are too stupid to control their own spending? WAHHHH!!!

5: Fix Ottawa for Good - BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :biggrin_2559:

Nope, this platform just doesn't work for me.

Millions of Canadians are without doctors, myself included. He has a plan to fund these doctors. Cutting oil sands tax credits (like the oil companies need a tax break) and putting corporate tax rate back to where it was a few years ago, you know when the country was running a surplus. A rate which is lower than the US rate I may add.

I like the credit card cap. That is robbery if you ask me. Banks make most of their money off the fees they charge the businesses anyways.

CPP sounds like it will be ore of a pension plan that companies offer. I have one of those, do you? With that, CPP and my meager savings I still won't have enough to retire. The issue is that there is a growing population of seniors living in poverty. I like the idea of granny not having to living a homeless shelter

Maybe it's about time we listened to somebody like this....

This diatribe is from my dear friend and activist, Linda, in B.C. I think she's nailed it!!!

You’re all wondering what the heck has happened to me - well we have been working behind the scenes - looks like an election is coming up in May.

I am so pissed off at these ######## in Ottawa - another election - about what? $400 million or more for another election because the budget today wasn't to their satisfaction.

Jack Layton wants everyone to pay thousands more in taxes so we can all live happily ever after - the same.

It didn't bother Jack Layton and his wife to live in subsidized housing while he was making $100,000's in wages between him and his wife but he is for the poor guy. What a bunch of ####.

Then we have that spineless Ignatief who couldn't be bothered to live in Canada for 35 years who now thinks he should be our PM.

He was a professor in history for crying out loud and has never had another job. He comes from Russian royalty, vacations in France, dumped his wife and kids for that dog he is now married to and has the nerve to say our flag looks like a beer label and when he lived in the USA - he called himself an American.

This is who the Liberals think should be our PM. At least Harper has a degree in economics - perhaps that is why our country survived this recession better than the entire G8.

So now it is back to the campaign trail and I am furious. I plan on totally crucifying the Liberals and NDP in Richmond .

I am going to be that big mouth bag lady in the back yelling. I will haunt these ########.

Other than that I am fine - how's it going with you?
