    Week Three, Day Two
Did some driving in the city today. A bit nerve racking but exciting as well. Stop lights, sharp turns, curvy two lane roads and hills. Double clutching is catching on with my brain. Using the RPMs is critical. When you get it all just right it feels great.

Made Final Decision on Company Today.

I'm going to start orientation with Watkins & Shepard in Conover NC on May 2nd. I had a letter of acceptance from them before I started school but have been looking at other companies. They have a terminal about 5 miles from my house and the drivers there seem to be pretty happy. They have a 10 day orientation process and then you are on your own, no driver trainers! Sink or swim bubba!

    Week 3, Day 3

More driving in city traffic today. Doing much better than yesterday. I can't believe where they are taking us, narrow city streets with lots of traffic and sharp turns. Also did some time on country roads today. These were two lane roads with no shoulder. NC is a great place to learn to drive. We have stop lights on hills, lots of curves and beautiful scenery, what more could you ask for?
Had a recruiter from Schneider interrupt our lunch today. I don't think anyone took the bait. He told us they have over 14,000 drivers. Ya, like your not going to be just a number with them, no thanks.

Yeah, I think schneider and weener came our school while I was there. Sadly, I don't think any of us went with them.
