i just wanted to warn you drivers about some truckstops that refuse to fix the potholes. on their property. you know the ones you hate. let me tell you about the one i hit tonight. its at the petro in claysville,pa exit 6. coming into the entrance is a hole about two feet or so wide and about 10 to 12 inches deep. its located in the area going towards the scale. it was full of water. i hit it going about 10 mph and i think it took my truck out of alignment. i will look for other damages in the daylight. if you hit one of these monsters, call the truckstops corporate offices and complain. the people thjat work at the truckstops are just there to collect a paycheck and offer little or no help. i am an owner operator and i take pride in the way my truck drives and rides. she's not pretty but she's mine. and if you dont get the right answers or they wont fix your truck? get a lawyer.

TA in Denton, TX has an inescapable abyss in the exit driveway. ONE of your tires is GONNA hit it. Tires seemed okay after I hit it, but about 100 mi up the road, blew a steer tire.

Not a truck stop, but at a drop yard we utilize; Morgan Southern in Conley, GA. The pothole has since been repaired, but I was going to do a drop/hook, it was nighttime, raining, and the yard wasn't that well lit in the middle of the yard. I hit the pothole with both my steer tires (yep, that wide) and thought I broke my shoulder or collarbone from the seat belt. I had to get a new steer tire the next day after I found I put a small hole in the tire.

It's not a pot hole, it's a tire wash station.

Blowing steers is not uncommon, in Texas. What gave rise to your particular situation, pard?

    Hey folks,

The pothole in Denton has been fixed, and the one in Claysville is on a "get fixed NOW" list. We are investigating why it is not already done.

Hurray! Since I am now living in Texas (well, really, in the truck, but you know what I mean) I anticipate being through Denton more. Glad that got taken care of!

The tire blew at exit 101 on I-35 in Oklahoma. I called it in, and waited forever... longer even than usual. Our Road Assist folks had the tow truck driver call me directly. He was out of OKC and had gone to exit 101 alright... on I-40! That was a seriously long wait! HIS bad, HIS bill... but my long, long wait!

In the early 1980s, I was entering the truck stop at Jackson, MI, to have a flat tire repaired. A chuck hole was under water in the driveway. Hitting that chuck hole felt as though the truck bounced backwards, but continued slowly to the tire repair area. When I tried to leave the outdoor tire pad, I realized the clutch had been blown. This was verified by the truck stop mechanic. So, I drove without the clutch to the small fleet owner's garage in Muskegon.

I was sitting in my truck at the TA in florence ky who's parking lot looked like swiss cheese. They had put a metal plate over one of the holes in front of the garages.A driver was turning around when his trailer wheels hit the plate and he cut 2 tires and bent 2 rims.I got out of the truck and told the driver what happened.I went to the garage and told the manager that his parking lot damaged the trailer. He asked me if I told the driver? After the repairs to the trailer,2 days later the lot was repaired
