I heard that. I really never have "gone off" on an owner, boss, or manager before. Personally, I don't think what I said was really that bad, I didn't even say not one curse word. Just didn't want to be there. Honestly I think he was just showing off in front of his buddies. As for the inspections, I have never driven for a company who inspected the inside of the trucks like that. I didn't like it, but never made any kind of deal out of it either. But this whole ordeal could turn out to be a blessing. One of the other management guys there (just not as high up) thinks that Kenny over reacted and referred me to a guy who is hiring. I spoke to the guy, and although I have to wait a week to get back to work, the pay is suppose to be better, better miles, nicer truck, and faster (72 mph).

A little off topic here..... I used to work for a fleet owner at National and was wondering if he is still around. Joe Kelly of J&J Express. He had over 30 trucks leased on to NCI and I overheard some driver saying that back in 03 he lost all but 3-5 trucks.
-
I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you. All the owner operator trucks I have seen there only stated national carriers on the side. Back in Dec. I was checking into driving for an owner, and even on his trucks there is nothing about his "company", just national carriers and liberal, ks.
-
Yea most of them just have NCI on the doors. Joe Kellys trucks are the only ones I remember that had the J&J on them. I wonder if Kenny ( Spanky) is still working at dispatch in Liberal
-
Nope, didn't see any of them. As for Kenny, if he is the same person, nope, he is in Irving and an operations manager.

hi how are you? what do you know about the company side. i have bus ticket to to go and the recruiters said i would run some #### good miles. what is your take????
-
To be honest, my miles started out to average 2500 to 2700 miles a week. But the last month and a half that I was there, I only got 1500 to 2000. But that was during the months of Dec and Jan. I'm sure you know that typically during those months things slow down. My personal opinion is that as for miles, unless you have to have 3500 plus, you will be satisfied with it. Also, it does also depend on the area you run in. All 48 gets more miles naturally, but I only stuck with southwest regional.

Trucking companies cant put derogitory reports on ur dac.IF IT ISNT TRUE!..It is ilegal u have a case if u can prove what u say is true....And i speak from experience.......
-
I ordered my DAC Report to see what he put on there, and he listed me as quitting, not terminated. My opinion is because he knew he was playing macho and showing off what power he had in front of his friends.
