Your point is valid. Only thing I've used crazy glue for was gluing a girlfriends purse shut. Yea... It was worth it. But the payback she got me with wasn't.
-
Air ride trailers will do that. Short of pushing it against the dock, then setting the tractor brakes, not much you can do.
BTW, who complains about a trailer being 2" from the dock?wildbill123 Thanks this. -
the dock plate is what--about 30 inches or so?--if they are complaing about 2 inches----just tell them their girlfriend says the same thing--2 inches is just not enough
Everett and wildbill123 Thank this. -
I know some of the older places actually want you an inch or two from the dock so they have room to raise the manually-operated dock plate they have from the 1930s.wildbill123 and Everett Thank this.

One place I deliver to, I have to stay about 2" away from the dock. The trailer has 2 rubber bumpers on the ICC bar, and the dockplate has a hard time clearing them, if I'm backed up tight.
-
I've had them complain about one side being less than an inch from the dock. That was on a drop and hook. I pickup and deliver auto parts at medium to small factories.
-
Most shippers and recievers do have chalks.
-
Yeah they do, but when air bleeds out the tires don't move, it's just the suspension air and as the trailer drops it pulls away from the dock. I always use chocks.
-
I got it , just get a big wide 12 feet x 7 inch wide of velcro strip ,works wonders

, but i always just chock the wheels after i moved the tadems all the way back unhook pull forward like they say
wildbill123 Thanks this.
