So much for a Solo Job.. i can understand why Co. want you to team Drive they want the load there fast and on time, Plus keep their truck Rolling and making Money.. -
I like that! That's about right.
Going into trucking is like climbing a big hill at first. Then a year later your at top and going down the other side is easier, easier, easier.... then you hit flat ground and it's all the same. -
Why do I want to be a driver? I worked as a medic for many years and this is similar. I was my own boss. I had a supervisor that I seldom saw, a dispatcher that sent me places, a hospital that I "delivered" to, a station that had a bed that I seldom got to sleep in for any length of time while on a 24hr shift. I made decisions by myself every day and went to different streets and places everyday. Sometimes I saw the same pt's many times. After 14 yrs it was time to move on.
Trucking appears to be something I could learn to love as much as I did being a medic. Hope to start school in the next couple of weeks!
